September 18, 2011: Isle of Palms Professional Firefighters Association Local 3967 Cornhole Tournament to benefit the Burn Fund. Longhorn Steakhouse at Mount Pleasant Town Centre, 12noon-8pm. Ryan Curry attended for the Burn Fund. August 13, 2011: 2nd Annual Duck Hunt and Benefit Party, Patti-O Grill, Clover, SC. Proceeds benefit the Burned Children's Fund and the Clover VFW. A good time was had by all, even with the RAIN DELAY (quite an impressive storm!) Thursday, June 2, 2011: ServiceMaster's 5th Annual Firefighter Appreciation Night. 5pm to 7pm: Brittlebank Park Cookout and Concert featuring Eddie Bush. Firefighters and their families attended the tailgate party and picnic, followed by the RiverDogs Game. Fund raising efforts by firefighters were donated to the Burned Children's Fund annual Camp 'Can' Do. Thank you to the RiverDogs and especially to Lawton Hayes and his team at ServiceMaster of Charleston for a great event and the support for the Fund and Camp, a great time was had by all! 5th Annual Firefighter Appreciation Night April 30, 2011: Newberry Fire Department Golf Tournament & Fishing Rodeo, Country Club of Newberry, 414 Country Club Road, Newberry, SC 29108, 803-276-2385. Ken and Jill Evans had a great time attending this event and appreciate the hospitality provided by Chief Minick, Bert Mohler, and the entire Newberry Fire Department. Over 25 teams participated in the tournament and a good time was had by all with great weather, great food, and great golf. Laurens Jaycees Car Show A huge thank you to the staff of the Roper Emergency Department, Charleston, who adopted the kids of Camp 'Can' Do as a Christmas project and donated hygiene products for this summers' camp. Special thanks to Roper ED Clinical Manager Sherry Perkins, and of course to our own Tiffin Lamoreaux for spreading the word about Camp 'Can' Do and the Burned Children's Fund! Activities (2010): The Charleston Regional Business Journal's Health Care Heroes event was November 18 at the Francis Marion Hotel, Charleston. Jill Evans was a finalist in the Nursing category. A good time was had by all at the event which highlighted health care professionals contributions to their field. A big thank you from Jill for the support from MUSC and especiallly to Ken Evans and Jacob Evans who are the world's greatest volunteers for the Burned Children's Fund. "Some Gave All" Fallen Heroes Foundation, whose membership supports non-profit charitable organizations that honor fallen firefighters and police officers, gave a generous donation to the Burn Fund of $300 through Fallen Firefighters' Anitiques & Collectibles in Surfside Beach on September 3rd, 2010. Horry County Firefighters Relief Fund Charity Golf Tournament: Friday, September 3rd, Legends Golf Resort. A HUGE thank you to the Horry County Firefighters' Relief Fund for including us in this fund-raising event. It was a beautiful day for hanging out at the golf course...no one hit a hole- in- one but a good time was had by all. Patti-O Grill Duck Hunt & Benefit Party: Saturday August 14, 10:30am-11pm. Patti-O Grill, 1007 Old North Main Street, Clover, SC: A great time was had by all at this event Saturday. Almost 60 folks participated in the Duck Hunt-it was a perfect day for a long motorcyle ride! Many more folks joined the gang at Patti-O Grill to eat good food, hear the great bands, and show their support for the Burned Children's Fund! We cannot thank Patti Imler, her family, her friends, and her loyal customers enough for all of their hard work...and yes, they do have the best burgers and fries EVER!! Congratulations to our own Al Nord of the Myrtle Beach Fire Department for receiving the Myrtle Beach Herald's 2009 Firefighter of the Year (for the second year in a row!)

The "Some Gave All" Fallen Heroes Foundation visited MUSC Children's Hospital on Saturday September 27, 2008. Membership in this foundation supports non-profit charitable organizations that honor fallen firefighters and police officers. Foundation members Henry and Barbara Hahn and Elena Nicholas presented the Burned Children's Fund and Camp 'Can' Do with a generous donation and included a print by Michael Israel that depicts a firefighter holding a child. The print is to be placed outside the Burn Hydrotherapy Room in the Children's Hospital.
