The Burned Children's Fund offers a free camp every summer for patients and former patients of the Pediatric Burn Service at the Medical University of South Carolina. Camp ‘Can’ Do is a fun-filled four day experience for pediatric burn survivors, supported totally by funds donated by corporations, businesses, interested associations, and, of course, the recycling of aluminum cans. Your organization has the opportunity to support this worthwhile endeavor. Camp 'Can' Do 2010 was held June 27 - June 30 at Camp St. Christopher, Seabrook Island, SC. A total of 42 campers and 35 full-time volunteers attended. See this site for Camp 'Can' Do 2009 photos or visit our Camp Can Do site at http://campcando.shutterfly.com/
There are many different ways to support Camp ‘Can’ Do: - monetary donation to the general camp fund
- sponsor a camper
- sponsorship of a special camp event (firefighter games, teen's night out)
- sponsorship of specific camp items (camp t-shirts, hats, bookbags, water bottles - we have the capability to add your company logo to printed items)
- donations of camp equipment (disposable cameras, camper's packs, craft kits, flashlights, beach towels, etc.)
We are already looking forward to Camp Can Do 2011 (tentative dates July 2-July 7, 2011) and are planning several special events for the children as we celebrate our 15 year anniversary!
